References: Made by the 'lost-wax' technique, these items were very popular in ancient Persian societies, and were used both for the hair and as a clothes pin. The Luristan culture was the great bronze working society that emerged in the Luristan Mountains (Iran) in the latter 2nd millennium BC, the technology and designs probably infusing from the Mediterranean world.
