Bow guglet with birds & encrusted flowers, C. 1760

Quick Overview

Extravagant Bow guglet (water vessel) of elegant ovoid form with tall flared lip, well painted to both sides with a large group of exotic birds amongst foliage, within well modelled encrusted flower garlands that twist down from the flower head moulded lip. Circa 1760
Size: 25cm high
Only 1 left

Availability: In stock

Condition: losses to flowers, no restoration
References: This vessel is basically a Guglet water vessel, to be used for washing hands along with a bowl; however the encrusted trails of flowers make this an impossible prospect, rendering the function obsolete!
