Rare Chinese Export snuff box, enamel on copper, of scallop shell form, the one half naturalistically modelled and painted, the other similarly decorated with the addition of several flowering plants, the lid interior with another flowering plant spray with three different flowers on the same stem, set within gilt copper mounts. Qianlong period, circa 1770

Condition: excellent condition, interior base with original factory rifts in enamel.
References: Provenance: label for E & J Frankel Collection, #164. EJ Frankel is one of the top NY Asian Art dealers. Also, an almost identical example sold Bonhams, Hong Kong, 24 Nov 2013 lot 401 ($12,500 AUD).
