References: ref. de Guillebon - Paris Porcelain - p332 for the marks. There is an odd cup painted with the same subject, #352 in vol 3 of 'French Porcelain - The Queen's Collection' by de Bellaigue. A cup & saucer is in the V&A museum, C441-1915 - which has a very similar hand at work, along with very similar giltwork & pattern to the ground. This is dated to 1800-1810, while de Bellaigue dates the Queen's Collection example to 1810, suggesting that by the later possible date in the 1816-20 period, it would have been out of fashion. The marks on this set and their definite date of 1816-20 suggest that this may have indeed been the case.
