Cauldron Porcelain ‘house’ box, being a finely detailed model of the Dolls House made for Queen Mary, probably a souvenir of the 1924 ‘British Empire’ exhibition.

Replica of the Queen’s Doll’s House designed by Sir Edwin Lutyens, R.A.
The original was exhibited publicly for the first time in the Palace of Arts, British Empire Exhibition Wembley England
from April to October 1924.
The decorative furniture, furnishings and fittings were executed by the leading artists and craftsmen of the day who gave there
services for free.
The dolls house and contents were valued at £275,000. Part of the proceeds of the sale of this replica have been given to the charities of Her Most Gracious Majesty Queen Mary.
