Wilhelm Leberecht Schiller and Friedrich Vincent Meinulph Gerbing formed a pottery company together in 1829 at Bodenbach, south of Cologne. Their red pottery wares were achieved by dyeing the clay, and just a thin lustrous glaze seals them.
