S.S.Coolgardie was built as 'BOTHWELL CASTLE in 1881, built by R Dixon & Co, Middlesbrough. She came to Australia in 1896, and traded between the colonial ports, in particular to the Western Australia gold mines in 1892. She continued to trade in Australian ports in the early 20th century, and was sold to Hong Kong in 1904, where she was broken up in 1922.
