Spode porcelain taperstick, of column form with ring handle and flared thumb piece, decorated with a band of yellow & black leaves to the spreading foot, gilt leaves and lines to the column.

This form appears in the 1820 Spode pattern book, but was in use much earlier in the 19th century.
Base 6.5cm across, 7cm high
1 small restored chip beneath foot, otherwise excellent
