Staffordshire figure of a gent, shown in fine clothing and a hat, one hand holding a pistol by the barrel, the other clasped behind his back, on a square plinth base, the whole finely modeled & painted in bright enamels. Circa 1850
Harding writes this up as probably a Spanish bull fighter, but he has more of an theatrical look, and could be an unknown pirate from early 19th century theatre.
