Rare set of alabaster carvings, representing the ‘Four Continents’, each with attributes and standing in a low plinth base, comprising:
Europe – peacock on globe
Africa – elephant
Asia – camel & incense urn
Americas – bear

Continental, probably Flemish,
17th century

averaging 20cm high, plinths 4.5×6.5cm

some losses, paint worn, restorations to necks
