Aldridge, F. J. (1850-1933) – Watercolour, On the Thames

Aldridge painted several similar views, one titled 'On the Thames', with apparently the same boat, and the same large mooring buoy, and the steam tug heading off to the left. They look like two photographs taken moments apart. Aldridge probably sketched the scene, them did a series of watercolours from it back in his studio.
