Alfred John Bennett was an English artist, born in London and active in the laer 19th / early 20th century. He exhibited in the Royal Academy from 1861, and was an exhibiting member of the Royal Watercolour Society, British Institution, Fine Art Society, Grovsnor Gallery, International Society, and the Royal Institute of Oil Painters. He had success with various solo and joint exhibitions with Bond Street galleries in the last decades of his life, and his works appear in many public gallery collections as well as private collections.
