Ambon Island pair of wood ancestor figures, with a ‘skinny’ Man & Woman very finely carved in a seated positions with elbows on knees, with very stylized features and adornments.
Collected Ambon Island 1950’s by an Australian ex-soldier,  inscribed  ‘AMBOINA’  to a mount they were attached to (Ambon, Indonesia, north of East Timor)

Condition: signs of age, restored break to arms, displays well.
