American Reed & Barton Chinoiserie carved glass vase in Aesthetic movement plated mount, c.1880

Superb quality carved clear glass “crystal” twin-handled moonflask, the whole carved with lotus flowers and tree branches, set in a silver-plate aesthetic movement stand, with openwork wheel-shaped panels up the sides and flared handles above, the base with short plinth moulded with laurel and wreath, on high bracket feet.
Marked “MF’D & PLATED BY / REED & BARTON”
American, circa 1880.
Condition: small chip to top of vase, small chip to foot – one side of plated mount has come apart, still bolts together, displays well.
