Daunian Greek Olpe vessel, with globular body and slightly flared lip, a handle to one side.
South Italy, 4th century BC
Provenance: from an old Melbourne, Australia, collection, put together latter half of the 20th century
7.5cm wide, 7.5cm high.
Condition: signs of burial, the glaze patchy & mis-fired originally, a firing flaw to the handle & small ‘crater’ to lower body one side. No restoration.
