Victorian Military theme door stop, modelled as a charging cavalry officer, set on a ‘ground’ base with concave plinth support.
Registration number to rear, 218993, indicating design was registered in Britain in 1893.
Also cast ‘5 to rear;
Circa 1895

Plinth 30.5×4.5cm, 23cm high

Good condition, a sheet of brass welded across the base of plinth to make it stand correctly; has replaced original iron weight fill, making it lightweight & good for display – but not suitable as a heavy-door stop.
