Cashmere Paisley shawl with very fine double-sided woven design, worked in blue, green, yellow, red and many other colours, with red tassel ends.

Condition : Extremely fine with no signs of ageing , no damage or fading, a few very minor holes, minor loss to red fringe, in the finest state of presentation.
This shawl is being sold on behalf of Charity in Geelong, having been donated.
It included a handwritten 19th century note, pined with a 19th century pin, stating it came to Australia in 1861, obviously then stored folded in a drawer ever since, judging by the condition.
A remarkable survivor in brilliant condition.
