Chamberlains Worcester bisque porcelain figure of cupid in basket of flowers, c. 1825

Rare Chamberlain’s Worcester bisque porcelain figural group, modeled with a small cupid concealed within a basket of grapes & grape leaves.

Incised ‘Chamberlain’s’

Circa 1825

8.5cm wide, 7.5cm high
handles restored, some losses

Chamberlain’s Worcester made some superb quality figures in bisque porcelain in the 1820’s, but they are very rare. Without glaze, the detail had to be very precise. No other example of this model apparent in the literature.
