Rare Chamberlain’s Worcester desk set, the rectangular form raised on scroll feet, inset with writing necessities including two ink well cylinders & lids, one with original internal liner; central taperstick with side handle and mount for original candle snuffer, with rare original snuffer, the stick sitting on a long compartment for sealing wax/taper sticks, the whole with apple green ground & gilt detailing, the recess of the central front pen-tray beautifully painted with an English countryside scene, titled to the underside ‘Malvern’ , along with an extraordinary marbles ground.

Circa 1825
Condition: body is in excellent condition, ink stands have internal ink spotting, taper stick broken & re-stuck, snuffer top overpainted, mounting peg overpainted.
No comparable example found in the literature.
