Chinese Jade buddha, shown seated with casual pose and huge grin, on original wood stand.
Mid-20th century
Condition: stone is good, some light patches are inclusions in stone, no cracks or chips.
6cm high, 9cm wide
Close examination shows the tool marks, not modern rotary, and only slight polishing, suggesting it is earlier than thought. Stand could be a later addition, custom made to fit.
