Chinese porcelain bowl, painted in underglaze blue to the outside with a continuous scene of four horsemen separated by sparse foliage sprigs and clouds, with double line rims, the interior with similar ring borders and central ‘scholar beneath a tree’.

Condition: restored chip to rim (shows dark in photos), 2 cracks, good surface to glaze.
Excellent tone to the blue, showing dark blue/black where ‘heaped’.
Ref. British Museum #2010,3007.26 for an example with the same decoration & form, dated 1480-1550.
