Intended to look like the very expensive & desirable original VIncennes of the early 1750’s, or the equally rare Swansea or Nantgarw which copied them in the 1820’s, these Coalport examples from the 1840’s are well made in a pure white porcelain body, crisply moulded – but the decoration is in fact a printed outline which has been carefully painted in.
