Remarkable porcelain chamberstick, with bearded face wearing a long cap with pointed back flap acting as a finger-protector, supported on elongated ‘neck’ incised with line & circle pattern, a large ornate handle to the back, set in a more traditional petal moulded dish base finished in brown to imitate bronze, the rest in a creamy glaze to imitate alabaster.
Continental, probably Austrian Successionist origin,

Condition: good, one small repair to the very tip of the finger-guard.
