Fine quality Copeland bone china plate, richly decorated with three handprinted rose sprays, linked by a garland of green leaves meandering around a gold band with raised dots & dark daisy heads, a fine border featuring rococo scrollwork to the rim, the foot rim also gilt.
Signed by the artist amongst the flowers ‘TS’.

Marked with impressed ‘U/10’ for 1910, printed in green ‘COPELAND CHINA ENGLAND’, also in gold  ‘MANUFACTURED FOR OSLER DESIGNERS LONDON’

Condition: Short hairline to rim, small area of wear to dark decoration in one place only otherwise excellent, displays well

Oslers were a luxury good shop, founded by Thomas Osler in 1807. In 1845 they opened a shop on Oxford Street to cater for quality customers, and Copeland was one of their main lines with exclusive designs like this.
