The design of this kettle follows the lead of Dr Christopher Dresser’s designs of the 1870’s-80’s, with its angular simplicity inspired by traditional Japanese kettles.
Dresser designed for many companies, and his designs were freely imitated by makers across Britain in the late 19th and early 20th century. This kettle is by one of these many possible manufacturers.
