Cypriot carved limestone torso, the sizeable fragment showing the chest, two upper arms at the sides in the Egyptian manner, and a small portion of neck/head revealing a typical wig hairstyle.

A well preserved fragment, surface is stable with some fine mineralised surface – probably the remains of a lime wash painted surface.
Provenance: from an old Australian Collection, put together in Cyprus in the 1970’s, sold Melbourne 2022. Some have place names & dates of finding in Cyprus.
This one bears an inventory number: ‘S.R.’ (probably a place) ‘6779/75’ inventory & probably the date, 1975
