Danish mahogany marble-topped dressing table, the oval mirror with swan head supports, the single drawer and marble top set on curvaceous legs with central turned stretcher, the whole with fine boxwood stringing.
Circa 1815

Condition: original glass with misty look (not good as a mirror anymore), cracks evident in marble (fixed) minor flaws only, excellent patination.
A very elegant & unusual design, with the sweep of the legs providing a much lighter look than straighter legs, and the central stretcher providing excellent stability. The entire mirror support is on a stem that continues into the body to be fixed in place with two screws. Once apart, it is a very easy piece to transport.
