Superb Dr Wall Worcester saucer-dish, well painted with fan shaped & circular panels reserved on a powder blue ground, containing fine swags of flowerheads including roses & poppies, simply framed with gold line borders sprouting various flamboyant foliage & flower sprays in thick honey gilding.

A ‘Saucer-dish’ was included in a service at this date as a cake plate. It was like a saucer, but made dish size – hence the name.
