‘HAN’ is an abbreviation of Johan, or John in Dutch. However, there is no chapter 26 in John – and 2.6 is the miracle of the water pots – so it seems the artist has made a mistake when writing the verse, which would perhaps be 19.13 – “Pilate… brought Jesus forth, and sat down in the Judgment Seat in a place that is called the Pavement…”.
