Dutch Delft ‘Orangist’ portrait plate, painted with a profile of Prince Willem V of Orange (1748-1806), within a rococo scroll and flanked by branches bearing oranges, the rim with a patriotic orange/yellow/blue border. Inscribed ‘PW/D5 (Prince William the fifth), also a lengthy inscription to the upper front and the back. Circa 1780
