Large Egyptian polychrome cartonnage chest pectral, painted with a depiction of a kneeling Isis, the sun disk to her head and wings outstretched, a feather in each hand; behind is an inscription in hieroglyphics, a circle border above & a geometric border below.
Ptolemaic, 305-30 BC
Provenance: old Australian collection from the latter 20th century.

Signs of restoration, shape is original (edges are original), some re-painting to lost sections visible under UV blacklight.
Well mounted in a bespoke high quality perspex stand.
