Ref. Archer V & A Delftware J32 for an identical example in the Victoria & Albert museum, South Kensington. Another is in the Liverpool Museum, painted with the name & address of a soy merchant who operated 1805-23, providing a rather later date than would be apparent stylistically. It is suggested that these vessels were used to sell soy in.
