Fine quality Grand Tour fan, Italian, the ‘Chicken Skin’ leaf with fine gouache painted panels, with three scenes of Roman Ruins framed by panels of ‘wall-panels’ after Pompeii frescoes, a band of grotesques above, the sticks with exceptionally fine carved roundels reserved on fretwork grounds, the centre with figures in a complex pleasure folly, the two flanking of a harvester and planter of vines, the ends with wine jugs and further follies & figures.
