References | Jean Antoine Injalbert (1845-1933) was a pupil of Augustin-Alexandre Dumont and won the prestigious Prix de Rome in 1874. At the Exposition Universelle of 1889 he won the Grand Prix, and in 1900 was a member of the jury. He has many public sculptures in the city, most famous the four huge allegorical figures of 'The City of Paris', 'Navigation', 'Commerce' and 'Abundance' located on the supports of the Pont Mirabeau, Paris, 1896. |
