George Maxim (1885-1945) was a French sculptor, who designed a wide range of pieces through the Art Deco period, in particular distinctive bronzes of stylish ladies & their dogs, often reproduced in Spelter Metal. He also produced some earlier pieces in the Art Nouveau style, to which this flower trough group belongs.
