Quality French Ormolu double candlestick of Rococo form, modelled as scrolling foliage supporting budding flower sconces, the plinth base on open scrollwork feet, supporting a young faun with fruiting vine in his hair playing a flute while seated on a plump cushion with tassel corners.

22cm high, 22cm wide
Gilt in excellent condition with minor signs of age. repair to one branch & slightly off-square, several replacement screws beneath but retaining two original 18th century nuts.
