German tea set in red pottery body, the lobed form moulded with rococo flourishes. Comprising; large teapot with upper infuser, smaller teapot, sugar bowl, milk jug. Impressed ‘S & G’ for Schiller & Gerbing, Bodenbach Circa 1840

Wilhelm Leberecht Schiller and Friedrich Vincent Meinulph Gerbing formed a pottery company together in 1829 at Bodenbach, south of Cologne. Their red pottery wares were achieved by dyeing the clay, and just a thin lustrous glaze seals them.
