Ghandaran concave clay dish with well modelled scene of three people before a cloth covered table, the man and woman to the left clasping hands.

The subject is of a known type, often called `marriage scene`. The style is typical of Ghandaran art, merging the Western world of Alexander the Great ( the classical robes) with the Eastern Buddhist ( the face & head of the central figure.).
