Interesting British Navy memo tankard, made from metal salvaged from the HMS Howe, of very thick cast form with tapered sides and thick ring foot, a simple handle to one side.
Inscribed to base ‘Metal from H.M.S. Howe Dismantled at Inverkeithing By Thos.W.Ward Limited’

HMS Howe was a George V Class battleship, seeing service as part of the Home Fleet and in the Pacific during World War II.
At least two styles of tankards were made the other being bell-shape.
