Interesting double-sided ink study of the elaborate ‘Wellington Shield’, with a mirror-image ink sketch of the high relief original, a light wash giving depth, inscribed along the bottom ‘centre piece of the Wellington Shield’, the reverse with two sketches, one with two reclining Indian soldiers with musket, sword & shield, the other with camel & equipment, washed in colour & inscribed ‘Jauts’.
