Japanese bronze ‘ShiShi’ censor, modelled standing with mouth open, a ‘bell’ on his back, a moving tassel beneath the chin, the whole covered with fine details such as bead strands, the cover with pierced panels containing dragons in high relief, the whole patinated & parcel gilt.
Meiji Period, 19th century
