Japanese Imari dish, the boat-shape form decorated underglaze and overglaze with a man fishing from a boat, with four others in the boat drinking from golden goblets, the covered boat in a river landscape within a border of enamelled scrolling foliage and flowers containing birds and characters in underglaze blue.

Tiny kiln speckles, slightly worn gold, otherwise in great condition





Bears a French label beneath, using the alrernate name for Edo -‘Tokugawa’ - and ‘18th Century’.
