Japanese lacquer box, painted in gold to the top with a bird on a flowering branch, within a rounded line border.

30x11cm, 8.5cm high
This size was described as a ‘glove box’, perfect for keeping a few pairs of kid gloves in!
Average condition with wear to gold, rough sections, upholstery tacks used to re-attach one side in an old repair, -very usable!
