Small Japanese polychrome porcelain dish, painted in kakiemon-style colours with four seated figures in a chanoyu ‘tea ceremony’, the shoulder & rim with two bands of scrolling clematis & chrysanthemum flowerheads & foliage in iron red, green, and manganese.
Edo period, early 18th century

Excellent condition, a curious ‘X’ firing flaw to center visible on back.
