References | La Courtille was a factory set up by Locré in 1771, and later included the partner Russinger, hence sometimes called Locré & Russinger. It was set up to ‘make porcelain in the German manner’, and was one of the 9 factories allowed to use colour in a special decree of 1784.ref. Dawson’French Porcelain in the British Museum’ no.250 for a covered bowl with the same handle & gilding, dated to 1775. |
