Fantastic large-scale Chinese earthenware censor of ‘Boy & Buffalo’ form, with an immense water buffalo on a low hollow-form plinth base with cutouts, a small boy reclining on the mid-back, beside a large opening for sand & incense sticks, the whole well detailed & naturalistically glazed.

Probable workshop mark to shoulder,  otherwise unmarked,

Qing Dynasty, 19th century

Condition: Good Antique condition, small bruise to front base, boy’s hat with losses – but displays very well.
