References | The word 'Plazuid' was an abbreviated form of Plateelbakkerij Zuid-Holland, and only used after 1928. Van Schaick was a designer with Gouda 1920-51, and was responsible for some amazing designs in the 1925 Arts Decoratifs display in Paris including lustre pieces. The mark dates this post- 1928, but the size and unusual full signature in the design itseld suggests it was an Exhibition piece. |
