Large Staffordshire figure, titled to the plinth ‘Rob Roy’, depicting the scotsman in kilt with battleaxe & shield, a feathered cap to his head.

Condition: neck restored, some wear to black
Sir Walter Scott published his novel ‘Rob Roy’ in 1817, and it was instantly popular. Telling the tale of Rob Roy Macgregor (later he changed his name to Campbell) during the Jacobite rising of 1715, it became a stage act.
