Unusual ‘tribal style’ carved wooden figure, with stylised features including grimacing mouth & large almond-shaped eyes, hands clasped in front, with distinct hips.

An interesting piece that has been carved with a U-shape chisel; no attempt has been made to disguise this carving method. The general feel of the figure is ‘Polynesian Tiki’, and mid-late 20th century date is probable.
