Early 19th century bone china milk jug, with ‘wickerwork’ or basket moulding to the body reserving a smooth panel painted with a flower sprig to either side, the sort sides with a smaller version.
Marked with pattern no. ’35’ in green,
attributed to Machin as pattern 35,

This basket or wicker moulded milk jug is exciting as it has a pattern number; most parts of tea services were not marked in the early 19th century. However, the number doesn’t correspond with any in the literature – and neither does the shape or details in the moulding.
